Arizona Materials is looking for safety-oriented individuals that will be responsible for blending components to produce concrete and transporting the mixed product. Additionally, tasked with the upkeep and sanitation of the batch plant, silos, and mixer. Roles & Responsibilities
Daily Equipment Inspection
Operate loader to safely load raw materials into hopper. (Cat 950, Cat 952, Cat 980, John Deere 944)
Equipment is to be operated in a safe and efficient manner.
Operator shall always maintain control of the equipment.
Operator shall not idle equipment when not in use. Turn it off.
Site Observations and Safety Awareness
The loader operator's role is key to the success of the operations. Some items the loader operator should be aware of are:
Maintaining high quality feed material.
Watch for any potential site or plant problems that are within your view.
Be alert to site hazards involved with feeding from the load face of material.
Productivity
Seeks to produce material that will provide the most consistent, highest quality end products, under the direction of the leadman and pit supervisor.
Seeks to operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Skills & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
2 years of experience required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but un-involved written or oral instruction
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs & Procedures Manual
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
