Maintenance Technician – IAH George Bush Airport - Houston, TX - Full-Time

$20 - $23 / hour

BASIC FUNCTION

To ensure daily operational equipment is in proper working condition in order to meet performance goals through service, maintenance, and communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for fixing and maintaining cart management units.


• Able to perform equipment inventories and report such on a computer-based system.


• Able to move and re-assemble units as needed.


• Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems


• Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions


• Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly


• Performing basic automotive care, including checking oil and fluids


• Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma required

SKILLS

• Ability to apply the appropriate level of workplace flexibility.


• Mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems


• Troubleshooting skills

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• General knowledge of and experience with using power tools.


• 2-3 years mechanical and technical experience.


• Computer and Smart Phone proficient


• Meet airport badging requirements.


• Must be fluent in English both speech and writing skills
  
   

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid Drivers license required


• Ability to get airport badge required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift and carry 50lbs - 100 lbs.


• Push/Pull 75 lbs.


• Bend and stoop, walk and stand for long periods of time


• Visual acuity/manual dexterity to perform mechanical and electrical repairs
