Job Description:

As a Senior Technician, you will use PPG's existing resin synthesis, formulation knowledge, application expertise, analytical capabilities, and fundamental material properties knowledge to support the expansion and growth of emerging applications. You will also support organic growth by developing new polyurea markets across multiple departments.

The cross-departments polyurea platform guides the development of interesting breakthrough polyurea products and new markets to support PPG's organic growth. We're looking for very dedicated individuals who love mixing paint and running tests. The work will begin by working with an experienced chemist and an applications specialist with interesting onboarding experience. If interested, this job also offers a career path to an Application Specialist or Field Service Representative with provided comprehensive training.

Key Responsibilities

• Create new launch opportunities via new product development or existing technology modification and follow procedures and obtain quality results.


• With the guidance from the senior members in the team, perform different functions, aiming to formulate new coatings and improve existing coatings related to polyurea chemistry. Your responsibilities include mixing paint, application (dispensing, spraying), and testing of coatings.


• Voluntarily seek development opportunities to develop your career.


• Develop the skills to work independently and collaborate with other technical people from different organizations.


• Ensure compliance with all PPG policies and business strategies, including EH&S, business conduct, code of ethics, and all government regulations and laws.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma


• Knowledge related to polyurea coating formulation and application is preferred.
