The Danvers Extrusion center of excellence is one of the largest polymer processing plants in the medical device industry with over 30 active extrusion lines. Medtronic helps patients all over the globe to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Sets up and operates plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture miniature, precision tubing to established quality standards in order to meet production demands.
• Assists engineering team in development of extrusion tooling, equipment and material.
• Knows process of screw and tool design, resin characteristics, temperature control, automated feedback loops, and ancillary downstream equipment such as burst testers and slickers.
• Troubleshoots, repairs and conducts maintenance on extrusion equipment.
• Ensures materials necessary for extrusions are dried to specifications.
• Mixes, blends, or colors raw materials as required.
• Writes and executes equipment qualifications on all new or modified tooling or equipment to test and qualify items and provide documented proof that operations are within established parameters.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Technical school degree preferred
• Previous experience working with plastic moldings, extrusions, etc., preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of extrusion experience

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered complies with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
