Job Title: Human Resources Manager


Reports to Job Title: SVP, Human Resources


 


Summary of the Position:


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing ongoing support to the assigned business unit/production facility in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, retention and regulatory compliance. The Human Resources Manager is a hands-on, operations-savvy, results oriented HR leader passionate about solving business problems and supporting team execution. The HR Manager actively participates in all day-to-day activities of the entrusted business unit/production facility and serves as a back-up to their direct reports. The person in this role acts as a business partner and trusted confidant to management while actively advocating for employees.


 


Duties and Responsibilities: 



  • Provides hands-on support in a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment/retention, employee engagement, performance management, training and development. (40%) 

  • Provides coaching, direction and recommendations to the assigned management and employee groups. (20%) 

  • Ensures consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all supporting organizations. (10%) 

  • Oversees all employment related investigations and participates in hearings. (10%) 

  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. (10%) 

  • Responsible for preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. (10%) 


 


 Supervisory Responsibility:



  • Human Resources Generalist 

  • Human Resources Specialist 


 


  Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. 

  • Minimum of eight years of relevant Human Resources experience in manufacturing environment; ideally a generalist background

  • Strong working knowledge of employment regulations and compliance

  • Proven experience operating successfully within ambiguity; a results-oriented professional who can make sense of chaos to continually deliver desired results. 


 


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 


  • SPHR/PHR

  • Desire to be a hands-on leader with a track record of “rolling up your sleeves” to drive desired outcomes.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

  • A flexible mindset and personality; someone who can demonstrate the ability to think outside the box about HR programming and support.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and critical problem-solving skills.

  •  An optimistic outlook and “can do” attitude.
