Implement the strategic Human Resources (HR) Business Plan, ensuring a distinct local competitive advantage for the organization through our people. Partner with other divisions and corporate in enterprise-wide planning and development activities for new and existing programs and policies. - 3+ years in a HR leadership role
- 7+ years as HR business partner, HR generalist, or other related HR experience
- Ability to adapt and lead change
- Self-motivated with strong initiative to achieve high standards/results
- Strong team player with the ability to build teams and motivate others
- Excellent leadership skills, written and oral communication skills and planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to protect highly confidential and sensitive information
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree business administration, human resources or related field
- Any assistant store leader, store leader, or Retail Operations experience or experience in more than one division or line of business- Guide the division team to develop and implement a division Business Plan that is in alignment with the corporate Business Plan
- Lead and monitor use and effectiveness of recruitment, workforce planning, training, succession planning, career development, and performance management throughout the division by developing metrics to measure
- Support the development and maintenance of an inclusive business culture within the division
- Partner with Human Resources Shared Service Center team to ensure associate records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner
- Partner with corporate in development of business and budget planning activities
- Maintain non-union hourly compensation schedules based on prevailing local market conditions
- Collaborate with division management and Labor Relations team in development of overall strategic direction for collective bargaining/associate relations
- Coach division management in the strategic use of the company s compensation programs; advise senior staff on all HR and legal issues
- Coach management on communicating priorities and goals/messages delivered to associates to increase engagement and productivity
- Lead efforts to develop and implement a successor development plan by identifying promotional readiness, determining skill/experience gaps, developing and supporting action plans to close these gaps
- Oversee succession plan by working with the president and corporate HR staff to identify and develop potential executive staff
- Coach managers in the delivery of formal and informal performance feedback focusing on performance and strengthen the linkage of individual and business goals
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Travel 30% to stores within the division to support business needs
