Pharmacy and Care Delivery - Communications Senior Advisor at Cigna in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description:

The Cigna Group is seeking an experienced communications professional to join the Evernorth Health Services Communications Team supporting Pharmacy and Care Delivery as a Communications Senior Advisor. In this role, you will lead and execute the communications strategy for critical programs and leaders across Evernorth Health Services. Success comes from taking a collaborative, enterprise approach that drives impact and promotes key business and reputational efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute internal and external communications strategies to drive key business efforts within Evernorth Health Services.


• Provide counsel and advice on significant business communication matters, often requiring cross-organization coordination and collaboration across a highly matrixed environment.


• Drive communications efforts for key executives / senior leaders within Evernorth Health Services.


• Develop internal and external plan(s) aligned to business priorities; supporting product launches, client communications, press releases, social media, newsroom story development, agency management, etc. as well as content to support these plans.


• Build executive visibility and business leadership strategies to elevate core areas of Evernorth Health Services, including specialty pharmacy, among target audiences.


• Support issues management work across business as needed.

• At least 10 years of communications experience.


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, journalism, creative writing, marketing or similar field preferred.


• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.


• Health care experience required, experience in benefits management, pharmacy, and/or care delivery a plus.


• Excellent writing skills and ability to flex to a range of executive styles.


• Experience in corporate storytelling, media relations, social media, internal communications, issues and crisis management.


• Experience in public affairs communications a plus.


• Adept at planning, managing and prioritizing work to meet tight deadlines.


• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, creative self-starter who is eager to take on projects, learn new concepts, and dive into new territories.


• Results-oriented, with a proven track record of executing strategic communications programming, preferably in a large matrixed organization.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
