Overview

Peak Ready Mix is looking for a mechanically inclined, safety-oriented individual for our Loader Operator/Yard Hand position in Clear Creek, CO. This position consists of labor-intensive activities that require physical strength, and experience. This position is critical to the safe, responsible, and productive operations of equipment; primarily running a front-end loader while supporting production operations for the Clear Creek Ready Mix Batch Plant.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Gather tools needed for the day
• Use shovels, rakes, brooms, and/or other hand tools
• Assist batch plant manager, as needed
• Maintain mechanical functions of equipment as needed including, minor equipment maintenance, and cleaning of equipment
• Perform equipment inspections and fueling of equipment daily
• Be able to operate heavy, motorized equipment in daily plant operations and yard maintenance
• Be able to operate said equipment safely, with efficiency & precision
  
  
  • Maintaining high quality feed material.
  • Watch for any potential site of plant problems that are within your view.
  • Be alert to site hazards.
• Train employees to improve operation and care of equipment
• Work independently in absence of a supervisor
• Team player that focuses on problem solving
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write correspondence
• Possess ability to use various handheld tools safely
• Ability to respond quickly and safely to production demands and equipment malfunctions

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time
• 2+ years operator experience .
• Previous experience working within a construction environment, preferred
