Montrose's Advisory and Specialty Services Division supports clients across public and private sectors to meet their unique and complex environmental demands. Our experts take a strategic approach to address broader environmental goals from sustainability program development, data-driven decision-making using economics and ecology expertise, data management and validation, software strategy and implementation support, chemistry quality assurance, and EHSS auditing. We work through our highly-specialized practice areas to deliver excellent quality, impactful solutions based on data integrity.



A DAY IN THE LIFE



As a key member of the Transaction Advisory team, the Project Environmental Professional will be responsible for a full range of activities including:


  • Conduct Environmental Site Assessments, environmental compliance reviews, health and safety reviews, site inspections, and other research, as a means to

    • Evaluate real estate, commercial and industry operations, and

    • Evaluate potential environmental impact and compliance issues.



  • Travel as necessary; 30 to 50% of time during busier business cycles.

  • Write technical documents and reports, develop figures, collect and manage data.

  • Manage full life cycle of applicable assigned projects.

  • Work within a team environment; meet deadlines within budget goals.

  • Interface with clients and client representatives in person and in verbal and written correspondence .

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.

  • Participate in Company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.

  • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS



To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering (or related) is required.

  • 3 years of experience in a related field is required.

  • Working knowledge of applicable/related regulations.

  • Technical knowledge of the services provided in assigned area is preferred.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Solid organization and time/project management skills (ensuring targets for billable hours are met).

  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.



  • Able to work independently manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated).

  • Knowledge of computer aided software (Microsoft Suite, Adobe, etc).

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
