Job Description:

Heluna health is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to be the leading provider of program services and fiscal sponsorship for over 280 population health initiatives.  We are seeking capable, motivated IT Support personnel to take over all aspects of the configuration and maintenance of our computer systems. The IT Support personnel work to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently in order to meet the computing needs of the company.

The salary range is $40.14 to $46.38 per hour commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

User Administration


  • Setup and maintain user accounts.

  • Works as a liaison between the staff and the building maintenance team for building maintenance regarding issues.

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users.

  • Arranges repair/replacement when hardware fails.

  • Acquire, set-up and deploy computer systems to users.

  • Test and update production system when new versions of OS and application software are available.

  • Implement Heluna Health’s policies for the proper use of its computer system and network.

  • Setup security policies for computer systems for users.

  • Implement password and identity management.

  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.

  • Respond quickly to user help desk requests to resolve them timely.

  • Manage the configuration and operation of user computer operating systems.

  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific user groups.

  • Other Job duties as assigned.

System Maintenance


  • Monitor network communication and respond immediately to security, usability concerns and alerts.

  • Verify that peripherals are working properly.

  • Monitor system performance, maintain system efficiency and make adjustments in system's performance as necessary.

  • Evaluate, test and implement IT network equipment, new peripherals and software.

  • Respond to service outages and other problems quickly.

  • Create system documentation and track issue resolution.

  • Analyze and isolate issues to determine how to resolve them quickly.

  • Upgrade user and network systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.

  • Maintain Active Directory role-based authentication and authorization using stored configuration information to authenticate a user and then associate approved permissions with the user profile.

  • Hands on experience in creating image for laptop rollout by using a tool.

Planning


  • Analyze current computer usage and make recommendations for future upgrade.

  • Participate in the research and development of new IT solutions to improve efficiency, increase capabilities, and reduce downtime to meet Heluna Health’s increasing IT business needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances


  • Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.

  • CompTIA Security+, A+ and/or N + preferred.

 Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities


  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as system administrator or equivalent position.

  • Able to quickly diagnose and resolve problems. Figure out what is wrong and how best it can be fixed in small amount of time.

  • Able to demonstrate resourcefulness in solving problems.

  • Have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

  • Familiar with a range of operating systems and platform such as Microsoft Operating System, Unix, Apple Operating System, Linux, and Oracle Linux.

  • Experience with desktop support and remote support tools.

  • Understanding general principle of LAN and WAN infrastructure.

  • Familiar with variety of virtualization.

  • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues (e.g., intrusion detection systems).

  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
