Job Description:

Sumitomo Rubber North America, also known as Falken Tires/Dunlop Tires is seeking motivated Warehouse Associates to join the team in our Distribution Center in Portland TN. If you are driven and enjoy working on a great team you will excel in this role. The warehouse associate is primarily responsible for loading/unloading and order fulfillment activity in the distribution center.

SHIFT: Mornings - Monday to Friday!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Unload/load tires by hand


• Material Handling


• Lumping


• Must be available for OT on weekends if needed


• 2 years of forklift preferred

Qualifications:

• Ability to work safely, have a positive attitude, and high attention to detail


• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.


• Will be trained & certified on forklift operation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

WORK EXPERIENCE: One to two (1 - 2) years experience in a warehouse environment.

ACADEMIC/TRAINING: A High School diploma or equivalent.

SKILLS: Must be forklift certified and able to operate material handling equipment, i.e., forklift, sit down and stand up. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Be able to read, write and speak English, with basic mathematical skills. Must have the ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands of this position require waling, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, moving, driving, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is typical of a warehouse, with forklifts moving, truck being loaded and unloaded, using propane and electricity, with a strong smell of tires. The environment has uncontrolled air.
