Your Key Responsibilities
Support system ideation and concept selection of Chassis Mechatronic systems (i.e., SbW, Active Suspension Systems,etc. ) through performing the following actions:
Conduct literature reviews on state-of-the-art chassis technologies
Design, develop, and implement high-level control strategies and dynamic system models that address stakeholder requirements in facilitating the evaluation and selection of different system architectures, as well as to provide input to system requirement definition
Lead and support the integration and evaluation of prototype system architectures in HiL environments and in-vehicle as part of the development process - this work may include re-working and calibrating existing application software or utilizing various methodologies and tools to architect/implement system features in creating a new application software
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional collaboration with ME/EE/IV&V teams
Select the best design alternative in context of stakeholder and system requirements
Serve as a software architect responsible for the technical and procedural content that serves to control and coordinate software development
Support the software project manager/product owner in the timely, efficient, and compliant achievement of the development goals
Coordinate, document, implement and support the assigned software architecture, as well as report on the maturity level of the software architecture
Coordinate entire software function development
Responsible for the efficient and goal-oriented creation of a software architecture as well as the corresponding process, method, and tool development
Responsible to use the work processes, methods and tools defined at Schaeffler in one's own work
Support application software feature development and implementation for various chassis mechatronic systems
Research, define, develop, and implement control strategies in achieving system performance requirements
Lead and support the integration, testing, and evaluation of prototype chassis systems within HiL environments and in-vehicle as part of the continuous integration and development process
Support customer demonstrations and exhibitions as necessary to showcase our chassis products and facilitate continuous system improvement
Your Qualifications
University degree in electrical, computer science, mechatronics, physics, mechanical engineering or comparable
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded or model-based software development
Theoretical and practical experience implementing application software features and/or control strategies
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a SW architect for safety critical automotive mechatronic systems
Development processes and methods as well as quality standards, norms in the automotive industry (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
Theoretical and practical experience pertaining to Vehicle Dynamics
Experience in complex mechatronic systems
