Job Title: Custom & Restoration Welding Technician III


Salary Range:$47,320 - $58,500/annual; plus bonus eligibility


Position Summary:


To restore, modify and assemble putters to customer requested finishes.


Qualifications/Required Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years putter grinding and welding experience.

  • Must be able to stand for extended length of time. Able to lift 20 lbs.

  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, Spanish a bonus. Attention to detail, reading and comprehend custom work orders and have knowledge of Scotty Cameron Putters/components.


Key Responsibilities:


Bead blasting of putter heads to remove rust and restore finishes.


Hand grinding of putters to remove blemishes and defects for preparation for finishing. Review and evaluate putter heads and deploy proper polishing techniques in preparation for final finish.


Hand stamping of putters with letter and symbol engraving.


Review putter heads from PVD and Black Oxide for defects and communicate to leadership issues identified.


Set up Bridge Port mills to mill putter faces to remove blemishes and defects. Ability to understand milling offsets to ensure engraving depths are maintained.


TIG welding of putters to repair deep defects as well as attach various necks to putter heads.


Disassemble putter components and reassemble per work order requirements. This includes stripping putters of paint and removing weights and sole plates.


Break down of shafts for recycling.
