Job Summary
The Maintenance Crew Pusher position acts as a lead member of an assigned crew responsible for performing a wide range of facility operations and maintenance tasks on oil and natural gas production sites. This position is diverse and job duties may vary daily. The Maintenance Crew Pusher will need to ensure that these activities are done safely, meet regulatory deadlines and requirements, follow approved procedures, and are cost effective.
The Maintenance Crew Pusher will help drive both safety and maintain cost control by helping to build a culture based on "management by exception". The successful candidate will need to have strong interpersonal skills to interface and influence other organizations both in the field and Houston offices. This will require excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication of decisions and setting the desired direction of the Maintenance program.
Responsibilities
Perform work in compliance with safe work practices
Practices awareness concerning issues of health, safety and the environment; cooperates with emergency teams to anticipate and deal with any hazardous and/or unusual situations (gas environment, high-pressure wells, oil spills and line leaks, inclement weather, acts of vandalism, etc.)
Under limited supervision, performs oil field related services and task in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements
Assigns duties to others and gives direction to accomplish tasks
Proficient in building, repairing, and/or fabricating facilities including but not limited to tank batteries, water disposal sites, treaters, flares, and flow line design
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing oilfield piping construction and installation practices
Performs general groundwork and performs cleanup of spills around well sites, facilities, and lease property
Assists with major repairs to equipment
May join with technical groups and field personnel on teams to promote production efficiency and safety
Collaborates with crewmembers and managers to solve work-related problems and develop appropriate solutions
Install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of mechanical equipment, including, but not limited to pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, heat exchangers, misc. rotating equipment
Provides Supervision and oversight for task such as but not limited to, welding, burning, rigging and pipefitting
Perform work with minimum supervision from written or verbal work orders
Perform housekeeping to maintain clean, neat, and safe standards
Establishing a continuous improvement culture that challenges "normal operations" daily
Influence Maintenance, and other Functions, to adopt Murphy's "management by exception" philosophy
Supports the implementation of SAP throughout all aspects of operations
Ability to effectively interact with other Functions (HSE, Operations, Engineering, Accounting etc.)
Supports special projects as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Foreman
Licenses/ Certifications
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in oil field construction or maintenance experience (Roustabout) in oil and gas operations and proficiency in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Familiar with CMMS, SAP, and Microsoft
Understanding of life cycle of maintenance and operations
Strong understanding of OSHA Regulations, Safety Policies and Practices, Permit to Work System to include Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Lock Out Tag Out and Job Safety Analysis.
Ability to work weekends (as needed) to ensure Maintenance program safely and efficiently executed
