The Hilton Motif Seattleis looking for its next Senior Accounting Analyst to join their dynamic team! This is a senior level role which will be focused on Accounts Receivables and Payroll.

Located on 5th Avenue in the heart of downtown Seattle, this stylish boutique hotel is nestled between Pike Place Market and Union Street and is surrounded by the city's finest restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues, museums and attraction. This sleek urban style hotel features amenities including a vibrant award-winning restaurant offering an extensive outdoor patio with sweeping city views, over 22,000 square feet of meeting space, and 319 newly redesigned rooms.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Accounting Analyst will perform activities to support the Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Accounting functions. The Senior Analyst will participate in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. Processes hours and payroll for hotel team members, reviews accuracy of payroll and deductions and reports all discrepancies to supervisor. Prepares payroll reports, conducts annual record procedures, assists in processing monthly, quarterly, year-end closings. Processes tips and gratuities. Additionally, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.


  • Prepare daily receivables, post in system and balance totals to the general ledger
  • Conduct research, offer solutions and negotiate results to resolve questions and discrepancies in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Review final statements against sales contracts for accuracy and timely dispatch
  • Perform applicable retained Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Accounting functions
  • Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability
  • Collaborate with SSCs and service provider, as well as partner with SSC to resolve disputes
  • Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed
  • Complete month-end responsibilities, including completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel
  • Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters
  • Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals

What are we looking for?

General knowledge of accounting operations, with emphasis on Accounts Receivables and Payroll

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.


  • Full availability to work a flexible schedule, including Holidays and Weekends is required.
  • One to two years experience in Accounts Payables preferred
  • Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer and computer software such as Agilysys, Elavon, OnQ, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to operate a 10-Key by touch, rapidly and accurately
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language sufficient to communicate with employees, staff and guests and perform all essential job functions.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to perform mathematical calculations without error.
  • Ability to effectively deal with vendor and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 - $31.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
