Job Description:

Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Release Engineer. Job Summary:


At Leidos QTC Health Services, you will be responsible for installation, support, administration and maintenance of the company’s configuration management, build and release process utilizing Microsoft Azure DevOps and other tools. Design architecture and ongoing assessment of the company's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) strategy.


*Remote Candidates may be considered with the expectation to work certain PST (Pacific Standard Time) 8am to 4:30pm PST hours including certain night time releases 7pm to 11pm PST and occasional weekends.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Deploy code to production and other non-prod environments

  • Windows and Linux server management

  • Azure DevOps Server, and Jenkins server administration

  • Write and maintain PowerShell scripts

  • Creation and deployment of Containers

  • Management of code in TFVC and GIT

  • Utilize Visual Studio and MSBuild to build software

  • Utilize SSMS to facilitate the execution of SQL Scripts

  • Utilize TFVC, Azure Repos Git, and Jenkins for architecting, maintaining, and streamlining automated build and release pipelines 

  • Troubleshoot application configuration/deployment issues

  • Management of build and release servers running ADO/Jenkins agents

  • Maintain and create documentation regarding software deployment policies/procedures, the company’s SDLC, and configuration management

  • Document and communicate with team members regarding special circumstances requiring deviation from the standard operating procedures established for the build and deployment processes

  • Create builds and releases  for ASP, ASP.Net, and C# Windows Applications using Jenkins and ADO pipelines

  • Work with QA and Development to increase developer productivity and product testability

  • Work with Development on Source Code Branching and Merging strategies

  • Adhere to and promote compliance to company data security policies 

  • Configure integrations with our existing SDLC tools

  • Utilize Rest APIs and other tools to gather information and facilitate build and release processes

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps on Prem and Jenkins

  • Strong knowledge of the capabilities and appropriate application of a wide variety of technologies, including but not limited to C#, IIS, .net, ASP, data warehousing, MS SQL & Oracle databases

  • Solid organization and planning skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Expert knowledge of CM practices and standards, and knowledge of tools used in implementing a successful CM program

  • Must possess the ability and flexibility to work extra hours and weekends

  • Ability and desire to take ownership of work assignments and drive tasks to completion

  • Ability to conduct research as required on new SDLC technologies, and help develop best practices and patterns to aid in the adoption of new technologies that are appropriate to the company's requirements


 


Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • 9 to 14 years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience working with Configuration Management (CM) including planning, monitoring, and reporting on CM activities

  • Prior administration experience with Windows 2016, 2019 and 2022 server environments

  • Experience administering Microsoft Azure DevOps

  • Experience using PowerShell scripts with Jenkins

  • Experience with Active Directory including service account and delegate active directory management

  • Experience in Microsoft development technologies; C#, ASP.net a plus

  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation


 


Pay and Benefits: Salary range $120,000 - $136,000 with 8% bonus eligibility
