Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE


Administers FMLA, ADA Accommodations, Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation programs for all employees in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as regulations and company policy.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Interpret all leave requests to determine leave type and eligibility. Process and administer all LOA requests and ensure all leave notices are documented and communicated to employees within required time frames set forth by FMLA, ADA and other state and local laws and regulations

  • Coordinate the day-to-day leave process by managing workflow, including tracking all FMLA and LOA cases, identifying discrepancies, obtaining approvals and follow up on outstanding issues, coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPPA and employee privacy guidelines are closely monitored and executed

  • Keep abreast of all Federal and State laws and regulations which affect the Company’s leave policy

  • Review and recommend revisions to company leave policy to ensure compliance

  • Works and collaborates with Benefits Specialist regarding STD and LTD implementation

  • Provide compassionate and professional assistance to employees, answering questions, addressing concerns, researching, and resolving issues and follow up with resolution communications

  • Process all worker compensation incidents, collect supporting documentation, submit claims within 24 business hours from date of incident and coordinate with outside worker compensation vendor.

  • Produce and manage reporting analytics of all leave cases and workers compensation claims, presents reports as requested.

  • Meets regularly with Director, HR Operations to review status of cases/claims and develops legally sound strategies for mutually beneficial resolutions.

  • Assists in the creation of leave administration and workers compensation training programs.

  • Maintain all records pertaining to leave and workers compensation administration, including updating status in HR Systems.

  • Complete various human resource, reporting, and administrative duties as assigned or as necessary.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)



  • 5+ years of Leave Administration experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, or related field preferred

  • Knowledge of legal regulations as they pertain to leave administration required

  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

  • Proficient in Verbal and Written communication
