ABOUT THE ROLE

TheManager, Category & Shopper Insights - Walmart is responsible for providing expert, non-biased consumer, shopper, and category insights that support the growth of the Pest Control category, Walmart, and SC Johnson. In this role, you will support the Pest Control category across three departments. You will join the sales team and present category and shopper insights, and work closely with headquarter Category and Shopper Leadership, Customer Marketing and Marketing teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop and present insights based on the shopper, category, consumer, and marketplace that highlight actionable opportunities and solutions that are beneficial to the category and SC Johnson

  • Partner with the sales team to create and plan recommendations based on insights to grow the Pest Control category

  • Supports the development of sales presentations, inclusive of new item innovation, from a category and shopper lens

  • Be an expert on the category and the Category and Shopper Leadership tools and capabilities

  • Effectively communicate, lead, and prioritize workload across multiple workstreams

  • Must be a self-starter who can proactively anticipate business needs and has strong problem-solving skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years related work experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years related work experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS


  • 5+ years of experience in Category Management or Shopper Insights

  • Proficiency in Category + Shopper Insights Toolkit across Scan Data (Luminate, Nielsen Discover), Panel Data (Luminate, Numerator, Nielsen, Circana)

  • Experience with Shopper Survey Design & Fielding, Primary & Secondary Research, Space Planning (Light Usage), and additional tools

  • Story Telling - Skilled in creating clear, informative, and visually appealing data visualizations that thoughtfully link data insights to strategic recommendations for the business

  • Experience in CPG and/or retail

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Leadership Skills


  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required for building internal and external relationships and working on ahigh-performanceteam.

  • Proactive and committed to delivering results in a fast paced, demanding work environment by fostering a sense of urgency, energy, ownership, and a curiosity to search for opportunities.

  • Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees

  • Full time, on-site role in Rogers, AR
