Morris Parts Depot, a regional distributor of CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories, and related engineering and support services, is seeking an ambitious and conscientious Parts Coordinator for our Huntsville, AL office. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a multifaceted company in a fast-paced, growing industry. Morris Parts Depot is a division of Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America.

Job Responsibilities

The Parts Coordinator will provide the highest level of service to our customers regarding parts orders, tracking shipments, inventory control and product information. This person will take customers' parts orders over the phone, and also provide advice and information to our customers when necessary. Other duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Entering orders in our database and processing invoices.
  • Receiving incoming orders and returns from deliveries, unpacking crates, and properly allocating received items.
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.
  • Be responsible for inventory - responsibilities include writing reports, discovering and analyzing discrepancies in the inventory, sales data, and improving the inventory control systems in place by keeping the right materials on hand.

Job Requirements

The successful Parts Coordinator will have a background in customer service. This team-player will have strong organizational skills, good time management, and the ability to prioritize while being mindful of details. The Parts Coordinator will be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, and other related business programs.

  • Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
  • Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects.

  • Must be able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms
  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
