We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.

Summary

LabConnect has an immediate opening for an Associate Project Manager that will be responsible for providing operational support to scientific program leaders. He/she will be responsible for related operational activities including contracting, budgeting, vendor metrics, vendor management, project management, process development and optimizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Recommend and implement new processes and procedures to standardize, simplify and enhance quality and compliance of the department's operations.
  • Manage Supplier performance and relationships with attention toward opportunities to cut costs, alleviate risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide project management oversight of vendors and various projects
  • Interact with vendors and effectively communicate updates, reports and recommendations to management teams.
  • Facilitate contracts with external suppliers and ensuring adherence
  • Lead, participate and implement operational process improvement
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot specific issues that impact the project.
  • Maintain trackers related to issues and program-specific information
  • Contribute to the maintenance of external collaboration sites

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • B.S., Life Sciences or related field
  • 1-5 years of industry-relevant project, program and management experience
  • Scientific knowledge with strong operational skills and understanding of clinical trial processes
  • Demonstrated project and timeline management skills, forecasting and tracking activities.
  • Good planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with experience in technical writing
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and/or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
  • Strong computer literacy, including word processing, Smartsheet, SharePoint, presentation and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team matrix environment
  • Strong computer literacy, including Word, SharePoint, Smartsheet and PowerPoint required
  • Advanced planning, organizational, time management skills
