Purpose: The Shared Service Analyst is responsible for providing all staff support and communicating with multiple layers of management while generating, reconciling, analyzing and presenting data & metrics related to Shared Services. The Analyst will also be responsible for driving system enhancements and new system requirements in accordance with the continuous improvement initiatives in support of the Shared Services Organization
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs Subledger Close for Shared Services and reconciles reports at fiscal period ends.
Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and updates to management team. Maintenance of KPIs for assigned area.
Conduct root cause analysis in support of departmental goals as related to DSO, DPO, past due percentage, and other key performance indicators.
Maintain and improve all existing reporting pertaining to AR, AP, Claims & Call Center, Cash Applications, Billing & Deductions, Credit Management and Payroll.
Produce and develop reporting as related to deduction/chargeback activity on customer accounts.
Perform day-to-day maintenance and reconciliation of system processes & reports.
Departmental applications lead, ensuring compliance and overseeing training.
Suggest and implement process improvements.
Assist department Supervisors and Managers with day-to-day activities.
Perform User Acceptance Testing "UAT" for system enhancements and other IT initiatives.
Ad-hoc reporting as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or Equivalent
Experience:
5+ years using Excel/Access/PowerPoint in a professional setting.
2+ years professional experience, preferably in a financial analyst or forecasting role.
Experience with Lawson ERP system as well as Lawson Excel Addins
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Understanding of accounting, reconciliations and back-office administration functions
Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Access, PowerPoint, and expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPivot
Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including leadership both verbally and in writing
Strong administrative skills including attention to detail, organization
Ability to prioritize workload and handle workload changes as they occur in a highly fast paced office environment in order to meet deadlines
Ability to support clerical staff in a professional manner
Ability to work well in a team environment and develop relationships with internal departments to resolve disputes and outstanding issues quickly
Self-starter who takes initiative
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and tactfully both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks without direct supervision, while paying strong attention to detail and follow-up
Ability to recognize and formulate change for areas of improvement in order to increase productivity and efficiency
High level of business acumen relating to the accounting field with focus in Shared Services
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Demonstrate sound decision making within appropriate level of authority and adherence to company policy
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
Some travel may be required
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
