Job Description:

Infosys is seeking an Automotive Retail Domain Business Analyst with Automotive Dealership Management System specialization.

As a Senior Consultant, you will be expected to leverage your domain expertise and facilitate solution deployment by leading specifically assigned projects. Additionally, you will be required to provide strategic insights to the clients while designing solutions since this is a client facing role. You will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options, and makes recommendations.

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a domain/ business consultant or management consultant or an industry practitioner in the Automotive Retail sector, with hands-on experience in US-based Automotive Dealership Management Systems.

  • Must have familiarity with automotive dealership operations in the US in at least one functional area: Sales & Marketing, Inventory & Wholesaling, Parts & Service, Finance & Insurance.

  • Implementation/ Working Knowledge of Automotive Dealership Management Systems (DMS) is required.

  • Working Knowledge of related systems such as CRM, Trade-in Valuation Tools, Credit Tools etc. is a plus. Working Knowledge of OEM (Factory) systems to DMS integrations is a plus.

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • Location for this position is Plano, Texas. Candidate must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area. The job may entail occasional travel across the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in US automotive dealership business processes. Possess expertise in one or more Dealership-level Functional areas: Sales & Marketing, Inventory & Wholesaling, Parts & Service, Finance & Insurance.

  • Familiarity with State-specific regulations, compliance, and local taxation standards. Experience in driving meetings/workshops with senior client executives, business leads & cross functional stakeholders and articulate project documents lucidly required.

  • Conversant with more visual, more design-thinking based, and more agile lightweight approaches such as customer personas, customer journeys, service blueprints, story maps, etc. Understands the larger, end to end business process that solutions fit into.

  • Willing to challenge requirements based on an understanding of prioritized objectives. Provide research assistance and clarity of business demand specifications. Bridge gap between business and IT ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment. Coordinate the business subject matter experts' involvement in all aspects of the project.

  • Design Business Use cases, Lead Functional Architecture, Re-engineer process models and define Functional design for integrations. Drive business workshops to define requirements, develop product backlog and elaborate functional specifications for an IT solution, using workshop tools like Confluence, Jira, Visio.

  • Document as-is & to-be business processes, assessing the business models, systems, and integration with technology. Work closely with client business team, product teams and business stakeholders to analyze requirements & prepare Product Backlog items.

  • Prepare user stories, prepare acceptance criteria for user stories, and manage product backlog, with prioritization. Leverage industry open standards such as Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR) to define functional interfaces between Dealer and OEM systems. Working experience in Agile methodologies & tools (e.g., JIRA), Understanding and exposure to Software dev. Lifecycle.

    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
