POSITION OBJECTIVES: The Senior Finance Manager works in coordination with the Health Finance Officer, Controller, Senior Accountant and Senior Procurement Administrator. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day performance and operation of Klamath Tribal Health & Family Service (KTHFS) Finance Department. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for directly supervising the Operations Staff within the finance department. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day to day schedules and workflows to support the technical team's regular monthly close. The Manager shall ensure procurement, travel and accounts payable is being processed timely with necessary approvals and regular check runs. That accounts receivable & grant finance is meeting deadlines for monthly close and grant reporting, and payroll and accounting assistance supports the clerical needs for all members of the team. The Senior Finance Manager writes and interprets company policy, procedures, and Department standard operating procedures, in collaboration with the Controller and HFO when technical accounting guidance is required. This position is responsible for achieving annual work plan goals/objectives in the strategic plan. The Senior Finance Manager partners with the HFO and facilitates all meetings. Ensures SOPs are up-to-date and implemented as changes to software or processes are implemented. The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for training, coaching and ensuring a healthy work environment.
