Oregon Tech (Oregon Institute of Technology), Oregon's premier polytechnic public university, is seeking candidates for an academic full-time, Instructor position for The College of Engineering, Management, and Technology in the Department of Computer Systems Engineering Technology (CSET), located on the Portland-Metro campus.

Position Summary:
This full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure, 9-month Instructor appointment is based on the Portland-Metro campus of Oregon Tech, located in Wilsonville, OR.
A qualified applicant should have a strong background in C++ with additional experience in project management and Agile Development. This individual would also be expected to cover classes from some of the following areas: operating system internals, network programming, graphical user interfaces/user experience, design patterns, programming languages, cloud computing or database design and development. To be clear, we are not expecting one individual with all of these skillsets but these are the areas where we could use some additional help.
The primary job duties are teaching, however the candidate will also be expected to advise students as well as some other departmental activities. Although this is not a tenure track position, it is a full-time permanent position. Annual appointment renewal of up to three years will be based upon satisfactory performance review, outstanding performance, staffing needs, and funding.
