Position Summary

The Planner, Advanced Planning Supply is responsible for working cross functionally with critical procurement teams to develop a long-term material strategy represented in the overarching long-term beer division supply plan.  This role will be responsible for creating value for our procurement business partners thru the use of complex data and insights, as well as the ability to translate the procurement long range strategic supplier strategy into executable tactical plans that feed both the long-term strategic plans, as well as set a baseline for S&OP.  

This role requires an individual with strong planning skills, the ability to influence and drive decisions making and the ability to deliver results thru critical KPIs for their area, to which the will both develop and manage for the Advance Supply Planning team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Material Inventory Planning:


  • Thru collaboration with the Procurement team, define and coordinate the materials long term inventory strategy using advanced planning capabilities including critical data/analytics, segmentation, and multi-echelon inventory optimization methodologies in combination with translating critical procurement supplier strategy into business factors to build out our long-term strategic supply plans and critical inputs to build out supplier contracts in line with requirements.


  • Conduct various scenario planning in conjunction with the procurement teams to identify risks & Opportunities to be assessed as part of the Advanced Planning process for critical decision making.


  • Build out new ways of working and define handoffs, communication, and cadence with critical cross functional partners, such as Procurement and other Advanced Planning Supply team partners.


  • Support the roll out of the new tools and process by engaging in the design and testing of the new tools in the coming year.


Materials At-Risk Process:


  • Create raw material obsolescence risk monitoring methodology and cadence to allow for risk mitigation tracking and decisioning.


  • Tie into existing finished good process to coordinate and seek synergies for additional improvements.


  • Develop annual KPI metrics and plan inputs into annual financial planning process, to be utilized thru S&OP in next fiscal year.


Reporting and Projects:


  • Build out, generate, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators as it pertains to material planning and its impact to the long-range supply plan.


  • Complete additional projects as needed.


Minimum Qualifications


  • B.A./B.S. majoring in Supply Chain, Operations, or a business-related field and/or 3-5+ years' experience in Planning, Procurement, Optimization, Supply Chain, Production roles


  • Deep understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools (i.e. o9, Blue Yonder, SAP), business intelligence tools & business analytics software


  • Must have excellent quantitative and qualitative skills to consolidate and analyze large volumes of data, with the ability to translate information for all areas of the business.


  • Advanced experience with ability to translate data thru storytelling into presentation formats such as PowerPoint.

The salary range for this role is:

$78,800.00 - $118,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
