Position summary:
Coordinate the development, administration, supervision, delivery and evaluation of aquatic staff and Programming. This may specifically entail the aforementioned duties as they relate to swim lesson organization and safety and risk management at the North Kingstown Town Beach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Assist in the recruitment of waterfront facilities.Assist in determining feasibility of waterfront usage relatively to safety, risks and capacity.Provide swim lessons, other class offerings, program descriptions and fees.Obtain and maintain program supply inventory and disburse to instructors.Recruit, train and evaluate staff as needed.Coordinate staffing schedules.Adhere to all establish health, safety and risk procedures in order to create and maintain a safe work environment for participants.Responsible for attending staff meetings/events. Demonstrate and teach the Character Development values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.Maintain good public relations with public participants, programs participants, and their families; direct all major problems to supervisor.

YMCA Lifeguard Certification or equivalentState Lifeguard Non surf CertificationFirst Aid and CPR Certificate (including 2 man and pocket mask use)YMCA Aquatic Instructor Certification or equivalentYASA- YMCA Aquatics Safety Assistant
