Vice President of Global Supplier Quality and Contract Manufacturing

Will be responsible for overseeing the quality of products and services provided by our suppliers and contract manufacturing partners worldwide. Leadership of a global team of 350+ quality professionals to ensure that our suppliers meet our standards for excellence, reliability, and compliance. A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:


  • Develop and implement a global supplier quality strategy that aligns with the company's overall quality objectives.
  • Partner with our Business Process Excellence COE and the OU Quality teams to oversee the global quality management system for our Suppliers and Contract Manufacturing partners including OEMs.
  • Maintain supplier quality standards, including supplier evaluation, selection, and qualification processes.
  • Participate and foster partnerships (internal mfg, suppliers, OU) to accelerate excellence in supplier performance and maintain regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Global Operations and Supply Chain, Core Quality Services, and our Operating Unit partners to address quality issues and drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the global supplier quality and contract manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Supply Management, Finance, Engineering or related technical field in a large, multi-divisional corporation.

• Ten (10)) plus years of progressive experience working in a world-class supply management and quality organization with a focus on operational excellence.

• Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferable medical with global manufacturing

• Global enterprise experience with a demonstrated track record of process and productivity improvement and successful results with developing and implementing change initiatives.

• VP or Sr. Director level in current role.

• Operations Quality Leadership experience.

• Supplier Quality Leadership experience.

• Multi site & medium/large scale companies

• Strong facilitation, influencing, organizing, and presentation/communication skills.

• Proven ability to achieve results through building partnerships and influence skills.

• Ability to lead change in a complex environment.

• Strong tenure in previous roles.

Nice to have:

• Master's degree with emphasis in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or related technical field.

• Fifteen (15) plus years of progressive experience working in a world-class sourcing/ procurement organization with a focus on operational excellence

• Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean/SixSigma

• Experience in ERP system implementation (preferably SAP)

• Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)

• Proven knowledge and discipline around departmental budget planning and execution

• Broad business knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of e-commerce initiatives

• Knowledge of FDA regulated industries

• Proficient in computers

• Excellent written communication skills

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
