DESCRIPTION
As part of our Transportation team, the Traffic Associate will develop ITS, fiber optic, traffic signal, traffic control, signing, and pavement marking plans, as well as perform traffic operational analyses. The Traffic Associate will develop their knowledge and skills to support our project teams in the delivery of projects through planning and design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare design plans, construction documents, specifications, and construction estimates
• Prepare traffic engineering reports and analysis
• Provide signal timing analysis, plans, and implementation
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and conducting business development activities
• Work on transportation infrastructure projects for ADOT and local agencies
• Be available to occasionally travel to other local offices

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 0-4 years of progressive traffic engineering design and operational experience
• Certified Engineer in-Training (EIT) preferred
• Proficient computer skills in MicroStation and AutoCAD and ability to learn traffic operations software Synchro, TruTraffic, and HCS. Experience with SignCAD is desirable
• Experience with traffic signal timing is desirable

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $57,000-$78,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
