Job Description:

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc., is currently looking for an Entry Level Estimator - Inside Sales to join our team in Olathe, KS. The inside sales estimating position is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. No experience required, on the job training is available for those with strong attributes!


This role would be a good transition if you have experience in accounting, finance, customer service, business, marketing, administration, billing/payroll, or construction.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Uses estimating processes, procedures, and software programs to develop sales estimates to support our commercial construction sales team

  • Work with nation-wide sales team to develop knowledge of commercial door systems and related products

  • Consults with internal & external customers on project outcomes and product options and assists customers in product selection to ensure sale

  • Prepares estimates based on the processes established for the business unit and projects of various sizes

  • Estimate material, construction schedules and other scope requirements and completes the estimating accurately and timely in order to meet bid deadlines

  • Complete all follow up activities for prepared bids and concludes bids meeting internal & external 

  • Ability to work overtime as required

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must have strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and good organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Possess strong mathematical skills, a knack for numbers! 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
