Job Description:

Heartland Goodwill Enterprises seeks a part time Groundskeeper to work at the Iowa City Federal Building.


Responsibilities:



  • Completion of exterior job assignments, projects, special events, and requests made by the government customer.

  • Learn to use all custodial and ground maintenance equipment.

  • Cleaning of canopies, surfaces, graffiti and other material removal, external policing, grounds maintenance services, landscaping, erosion management, tree and shrub maintenance, mulching, mowing, leaf removal, seeding, fertilizing, flower planting, aeration, weed maintenance, fence line maintenance, and watering.

  • Perform custodial tasks as assigned

  • Work in concert with the Custodial and Grounds Project Manager to ensure snow removal services are completed in a timely fashion as requested by the federal customer.

  • Check supply levels and informing the Site Supervisor when they are needed, and completing all work safely.


Qualifications:



  • 2 years of previous grounds keeping or related experience.


Starting wage is $17.23 per hour plus a $4.57 per hour health & welfare stipend ($21.80 total). This position will work Monday - Friday up to 20 hours a week. Exact shifts scheduled may vary depending on weather. Preference will be given to individuals with a disability. This position will remain open until filled.
