As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team the Manufacturing Engineer Develops, implements and maintains methods, operations, sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Resolves issue with daily processes and build. Works closely with the Quality and Test departments to maintain and improve production yields. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. This position Maintains and approves process details and records for production process.

This role is to be based in our Zapopan office and offers a hybrid working schedule, with at most working days spent either in our office or at a 3rd party site.

Job Responsibilities:

• Day to day line support for issues, part shortages, deviations.
• Reviews First Article reports, Factory Yields, Test Applications and engineering documents.
• Analyze production information (yields, failures, etc.) and evaluate results.
• Use logic to identify production issues. Weigh pros/cons of solutions to resolve.
• Process Flow management. Analyze flow and make changes to improve.
• Test Support and Improvement recommendations for Quantum Tests.
• Provides training for operators, quality and product technicians.
• Labeling of product. Development, support, and implementation.
• Manage ECO processing and line implementation.
• IBM Drive support. Analysis of drive and test logs.
• Ability to read part and assembly drawings.
• Ability to measure parts (caliper, drop gauge, etc.) and analyze verses the drawing.
• Failure analysis of production units and piece parts.
• New part and product release at contract manufacturer. Line / Part Qualification.
• Support Troubleshoot.
• Debug products in NPI working jointly with cross-functional teams and CM.
• Work under pressure on the End-of-Quarter Closing mode.
• 8D/Fishbone methodology Implementation.
• Support Audits (The Quality engineer DRIVES audits but the Process engineers facilitates audits).
• Drive corrective actions implementation (when supporting Audits, he/she takes notes for Corrective action implementation).

Required Knowledge/Experience:

• An undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience working through and resolving complex production issues.
• Very comfortable with ECO processing.
• Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and Global Supply Chains.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of industrial electronics and/or mechanical design.
• Agile and JIRA experience.
• Experience with mechanical design and solid modelling.
• Ability to perform data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Reporting and recordkeeping skills, with clear communication.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
