Liturgical Music Assistant & Guitar Instructor

Divine Word College—a Roman Catholic Seminary in Epworth, Iowa—is seeking a part-time Liturgical Music Assistant & Guitar Instructor for an average ten (10) hours per week. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Liturgical Music Coordinator and assist with accompanying Sunday and weekday liturgical services. In addition, they will provide individual guitar instruction to undergraduate students.

Qualifications:

• A. or M.M. degree in Guitar (preferred); applicants with a B.A. or B.M. degree in Guitar with previous work and teaching experience (considered)
• Availability to accompany Sunday liturgical services twice per month, and on one weekday per week
• Ability to conduct individualized 30-minute weekly guitar classes for a maximum of six (6) students per week.

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with educational credentials and previous work / teaching experience, ranging from $10,000 - $15,000 per academic semester.
