Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Works from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions and test

  2. Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges and other equipment to meet production

  3. Requisitions and stores

  4. Passes Kan Ban cards to producing departments per defined

  5. Accumulates and moves items between storage areas and work

  6. Fills out and submits requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets and scrap tickets.

  7. Selects, verifies and identifies quantity of materials. Records and/or calls attention to shortages, possible rejected or damaged

  8. Sets up work cell

  9. Makes necessary adjustments of tools, gauges and equipment. Makes operational checks as required. Monitors work visually to maintain quality standards and notifies supervisor of nonconformance and/or operating

  10. Performs preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling, inspecting and minor adjustments) on equipment in the work

  11. Trains new and existing employees how to effectively work within the department, instructs them in all facets of the work cell

  12. Follows safety rules and keeps work cell area in a clean and orderly

  13. Uses computer to check the status of a customer’s order and the status of a shop

  14. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Position Requirements



  • High School diploma

  • Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly

  • Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses and crimping tools

  • Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and sound judgement
