Walmart's U.S. Ecommerce Marketplace is a fast-growing and vibrant place that connects millions of customers to 100s of millions of products offered by our Marketplace sellers. If you are a dynamic analytics leader, looking to operate and drive analytical and strategic insights at the scale of a Fortune 1 company, then this role may be for you. We seek a Group Director of Advanced Analytics to lead our Marketplace Growth, Optimization, & Product Analytics functions. This role will report to the VP of Marketplace Analytics & Data Science and will directly manage a team of top-notch Directors and Senior Directors across these functions. We're looking for an individual with expansive Ecommerce analytics experience that includes seller & assortment acquisition, seller retention, catalog/category management, marketing, search, user generated content, order fulfillment & delivery, and product.


In this role, you'll partner with multiple Marketplace business VPs to help shape and drive business strategies, and ensure their teams have the data they need to succeed. You'll be successful if you are equally adept at driving topline strategies & scaling teams while also being able to go deep into problems to understand and fix root cause issues. No issue is too big, and none is too small. You'll roll up your sleeves to help drive improvements that will benefit both customers and sellers alike at massive scale. What you'll do...



  • Provide strategic guidance to senior business leadership and acts as trusted advisor and organizational expert for the business.


  • Influence business strategy by identifying new business issues and answering complex business questions to articulate the future needs of the Walmart customer.


  • Develop and drive long-term customer strategies to drive business by working with cross-functional executive leadership to align customer strategies with the long-term corporate vision.


  • Lead all advanced analytics projects for a highly complex business area, category or prototype across platforms based on broad industry and organizational knowledge.


  • Ensure solution and analytical plans reflect business and enterprise priorities.


  • Direct the development and implementation of data models for all projects within a highly complex business area or category.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $208,000.00-$416,000.00


Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.


Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:


- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)


- Stock equity incentives




Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 7 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 9 years' experience in data analytics or related field.
7 years' supervisory experience OR experience leading cross-functional teams.
