We are looking for a dynamic Director of Quality to join our team!

What the position entails: This position is responsible for the overall development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of a comprehensive Quality Management System at Brazeway that drives product/process robustness and enhances customer loyalty. This includes identifying core opportunities in the QMS and leading strategies for both short- and long-term improvement. This role involves leading and managing a team of quality professionals to execute and improve the QMS across all Brazeway locations, our suppliers, and our customers. Ensures that robust problem-solving processes (Six Sigma, Kepner Tregoe, 8D, A3, etc) are deployed and utilized effectively throughout the organization. This individual is the mentor, trainer, and coach of Six Sigma Belts and other problem solvers across Brazeway

The Job Responsibilities include:
Develops and implements a robust QMS, including quality policies, procedures, and standards, to ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. ISO, TS) and industry best practices.Ensures the Brazeway Quality Policy is understood and embraced across the organization.Establishes core quality metrics & targets to drive improvement in product/process quality and the overall short- and long-term QMS improvement (i.e. PPM, Return $, Capability, etc).Provides direct leadership of the Corporate Quality team and manages their performance to ensure impact in key areas (including Supplier Quality, Quality Systems management, etc). Sets and reviews priorities for self and team to ensure focus on biggest impact.Provide indirect leadership of site Quality Managers, green/black belts, and problem-solving teams. Assist in prioritizing critical actions and next steps when needed.Mentors and coaches Six Sigma Belts, daily problem-solving teams, and CI projects to effectively utilize the Quality / CI toolset and methodology. Motivates others to succeed and employs a roll-up-the-sleeves problem-solving approach in real-time where the issue is occurring and effectively using the fundamental problem-solving tools .Serves as a Project Leader that provides active and aggressive leadership in problem-solving efforts on key projects/issues to improve quality across Bzy, our suppliers, and our customers. Sets the example by demonstrating effective use of the tools in own projects/responsibilities.Takes personal ownership and responsibility for overall Quality concerns across sites (internal & external), ensuring timely problem-solving & corrective action and commits self/ corporate quality team as needed.Develop inter-plant consistency in improving both site and corporate QMSs. Ensures best practices are shared across sites/functions.Evaluate quality skillsets and capabilities needed across the business and work with the Quality teams to ensure those capabilities are met. Ensures we retain the required 6s competency level and effective execution of improvement projects.Represents the company in quality-related matters during customer/supplier visits, audits, etc.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in quality management.Exemplifies the Brazeway Code of Conduct, Core Values, and our Process Based Leadership philosophy.Actively supports and shows personal ownership for 5S+Safety

The Right Fit for this Position will have:
Bachelors Degree with 5 years of significant business and technical experience.In-depth problem-solving technical proficiency (Kepner Tregoe, 8D, A3, RCA, etc) and the ability to apply those methodologies to manufacturing, engineering, and transactional processes.Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt (preferred) with demonstrated expertise in solving complex issues and mentoring others.Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality StandardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel 30% to numerous facilities in North America and abroad, occasionally on short notice.Proven experience in driving improvement and change across an organization.Bi-lingual in Spanish (preferred)
