As an Installation Technician, you will ensure the basics of every vehicle are set up and calibrated correctly to the vehicle and manufacturers specifications including, but not limited to, emergency electrical lights, mounting communication devices, adding push bumpers, partitions, and compartments. What youll do:
Perform installations on new emergency vehicles, upgrading existing vehicles and servicing vehicles according to requirements Disassemble and reassemble of diverse range of vehicles Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area Establish a high-level understanding of how a new vehicle is built Conduct basic wiring, mounting, and programming adjustments to ensure proper functionality of electrical components Maintain reasonable knowledge of manufactured parts assembly, installation, and integration Complete all assigned work from Lead Installer Technician within given time limits Other duties as needed or required
What were looking for:
High school diploma or equivalenttechnical degree preferred Proven automotive technician or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted Ability to lift 100 pounds assisted Ability to stand for long periods of time (6 to 8 hours per day) Ability to bend, twist, and work inside small spaces related to vehicle work, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting Ability to use hand tools and electrical tools related to work Possesses initiative, attention to detail and accountability Valid drivers license required if driving
