Job Description:

As a Breakfast Attendant Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing and displaying our complimentary breakfast items and maintaining the cleanliness of the serving, dining, and kitchen areas before, during and after breakfast service. You will interact with guests including greeting, fulfilling requests, coffee refills and casual conversation. A breakfast team member contributes to the overall impression of our guests stay and is often their last impression before check-out.
Approach all encounters with guests and co-workers in a friendly service-oriented manner.
Greet each guest with a smile and verbally. (Good morning! How are you today?)
Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing them.
Respond promptly to guests needs, requests for service and assistance.
Periodically restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
Wash dishes, flatware and serving equipment and return it to storage.
Maintain the breakfast buffet so it is attractive and abundant looking. It must be organized, clean and use standardized presentation according to brand and company standards.
Prepare food such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices. Stock coffee, juice, and milk containers.
Set out cold food such as muffins and cereal for self-service.
Warm and set out hot foods such as oatmeal, French toast, etc.
Set up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and other dishware products.
Maintain cleanliness of breakfast area (serving, dining) and kitchen before, during and after breakfast service.
Take inventory of food, beverages and other supplies as needed.
Order/purchase or notify the appropriate manager/supervisor to order/purchase food and supplies.
Inventory, organize and put away food orders.
Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions immediately; use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly. Follow key control policies.
Clear/clean tables as they vacate, cleaning spills, sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen, serving and dining areas.
Remove trash promptly.
Comply with hotel standards, health department, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations with respect to handling, preparing, and storing food.
Monitor and ensure the temperatures of hot and cold items meet all standards throughout service and storage.
Use any slow time to refill guests coffee, have conversation with guests, ensure cleanliness of all areas.
Assist other departments and complete other assigned duties, as required.

Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, walking, pushing, stretching, bending, and lifting up to 8 hours per day. Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads and lift/carry 25-50lbs routinely, including bulky boxes, carts, etc. along with the ability to stand for 6 hours.
