This is a Day Shift with work hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Some overtime may be required.

PPG Atlanta is hiring a Truck Driver. Operates light trucks, vans or similar vehicles to pick up and deliver products, supplies and equipment to and from organization, supplier and customer sites. Actions may involve complex pickups and deliveries, e.g., night deliveries, international travel, transport of dangerous and hazardous products May be required to load or unload contents of the vehicle. Driver making local deliveries, as needed, in a safe and efficient manner utilizing a company vehicle (CDL A or CDL B and Hazmat Certification Required).

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production orders and pack tickets.


• Build pallets for shipment to customers.


• Load and unload trucks: forklift, pallet jack, etc.,


• Receive materials to sort manually unloading or operating a forklift to move pallets, drums, or large shipping container.


• Prepare products for logistic movements to customers.


• Transport and deliver goods to and from designated local deliveries. No long hauls, local delivery only.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) part A or B by state of New Jersey required.


• Hazmat Certification


• Shift Hours 7:00 am - 3:30pm.


• Lift up to 80 pounds infrequently and 40-60 pounds routinely.


• Position requires ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, carry, and reach products.


• Able to work overtime as required.
