Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


QMS


• Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System in the companies, including any business accreditations.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
• Analyze current and future procedural needs of the business.
• Organize and manage the internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.
• Manage and lead the internal and supplier Quality Systems audit program for VFS and R&D, along with supporting VTA, VAM USA and Corporate.
• Host external Quality System audits (ISO 9001, API Q1, API Q2 or Customer specific criteria).
• Provide training on Quality issues and business processes.
• Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with organization continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents.
• Support all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain.
• Collate quality data for monitoring targets.
• Assist with training of quality awareness.
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends.
• Manage the NCR / Corrective Action program.
• Perform document review to internal impact of changes to industry standards.


PROJECT MANAGEMENT


• Undertake special projects as required.
• Contribute, support, and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Quality control of work by appropriate reviews.
• Write reports and present progress at project meetings.
• Achieve goals within budget and time.
• Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented.
• Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Promote effective communication vertically and horizontally within the organization.
• Must follow all company policies, practices, and regulations to include Quality and Safety.
• Any other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE


• Experience with ISO9001 and API Q1 standards is required. API 5CT is preferred.
• Strong quality engineering background in manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in wide range of problem-solving tools and methods, including Lean and Six Sigma Methodology and advanced statistics.
• OCTG and connections knowledge is highly desired.
• The individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in PowerBI and Smartsheet is preferred.
• Highly motivated, willingness to dig into situations and work with all functions of the business. The ability to work in diverse groups to achieve a common goal is critical to the success of this position.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS


• BS in quality related discipline or bachelor’s degree.
• BS in quality engineering or in another engineering discipline.
• Auditor training is required (ISO 9001, API Q1).
• ASQ - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
• Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
