Smart Buildings Project Manager at Lee Company in FRANKLIN, Tennessee

Job Description:

Summary of Job:

Responsible and accountable for quality control, performance, and budgets on all assigned projects. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project team members to ensure that goals and objectives of each assigned project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame.

Education and Experience


  • HS Diploma or greater

  • Fundamental knowledge of applied sciences (Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Flow, Physics, etc.)

  • A working familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to be trained in use of the Company-specific applications and software

  • Experience with HVAC I Plumbing industry preferred with good understanding of construction practices

  • Experience with Building Code interpretation and application preferred

  • A working vocabulary of the building/construction trades preferred

Skills and Abilities:


  • ERP – Working knowledge of company ERP system

  • PlanGrid – Working knowledge of PlanGrid software

  • Manpower – Ability to plan, forecast and manage field manpower using a variety of reports and tools

  • Scope – Ability to manage scope of work and determine when change orders are required

  • Financials – Working knowledge of project financials

  • Analytical – Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data

  • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics

  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and control diagrams. Requires the ability to organize and keep report documents in an organized and readable format.

  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows operating system as well as BAS engineering software. Individual must also have a basic understanding of IT networks and protocols.
