Omni Category Analyst - Walmart

Omni Category Analyst - Walmart plays an integral role in leveraging analytical data and converting it into Insights and recommendations for key stakeholders that will achieve business objectives. Category Analyst - Walmart is responsible for data maintenance, reporting, analysis, modular drawing support, and occasional modular setting. This associate will also work closely and collaborate with Walmart Front-End & Aisle Category team members to ensure best-In-class support for the Walmart merchants.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.


• 2+ years of experience in CPG Sales, Category Analytics, or Supply Chain or related field


• Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)


• Proficiency with Syndicated data sources, reporting and analysis (IRI or Nielsen; Scan, Panel, etc.)


• Ability to utilize multiple data sources to solve problems


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to travel (up to 10% of time)

Nice to have

• Proficient in Luminate


• Proficiency in JDA planogramming tool

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Creating and updating reporting for Walmart's confectionery category business, including weekly recaps, new item reporting, competitive market reporting, etc.


• Ownership of item attribution and modular traiting


• Driving content quality scores for confectionery on Walmart.com


• Evaluating and analyzing Walmart category performance to provide actionable, growth-driving recommendations.


• Conducting ad hoc analysis to address business needs.


• Supporting modular drawing process from end to end, including analysis, reporting, layout center work, resets, etc.


• Competitive market analysis and item recommendations


• Assist In compilation of data, Insights, and materials for Internal and customer presentations.


• Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with Internal and external stakeholders


• Confidently present to internal/ external stakeholders


• Become a power user of key analytic capabilities and tools such as Power BI, RichMix, Nielsen, Numerator, E2Open, etc.
