Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Industrial/Automation Engineer Intern based in our Mechanicsburg , PA facility during Summer 2024. This on-site position requires the ideal candidate to be located in the general area. This will be a full-time. position No visa sponsorship or relocation will be provided for this role.

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of logistics automation solutions to streamline warehouse operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Work with maintenance team to identify failure modes, propose and implement solutions

  • Assist Maintenance Engineer with updating maintenance tracking software

  • Work on AGV's and auto-wrappers

  • Participate in projects related to safety, quality, sustainability and productivity

  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of logistics technology and software solutions to support automation and digitalization initiatives.

  • Conduct research on industry best practices and trends in logistics automation and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Work collaboratively with team members across two sites


This job might be for you if:


  • You are pursuing a two or four year degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • You have a strong desire to learn and contribute to the field of logistics automation.

  • You are proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • You are a proactive team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
