Job Description:

Lead Controls Electrical Installer

Role and Responsibilities
The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below:


  • Install HVAC and building automation controls on new construction, remodeled, and service locations.

  • Effectively read and interpret construction plans, drawings and wiring diagrams.

  • Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.

  • Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.

  • Checks out wiring and terminations with test instruments as needed. • Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.

  • Able to climb ladders and work at moderate heights

  • Must be capable of lifting equipment up to 75 lbs. for a distance.

  • Willing to work after hours and weekends when necessary.

  • Work independently and as a team member

  • Works with other trades to coordinate work on the job site

  • Completes paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to Project Manager on changes and keeps as-built drawings current.

  • Resolves job site conflicts regarding installation issues or escalates concerns to management as required.

  • Communicates with the customer as necessary upon arrival and before leaving the work site to maintain customer satisfaction for continual company growth.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience installing and/or testing, inspecting, and performing minor repairs on a variety of building controls or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.

  • Knowledgeable of NEC & NFPA codes and regulations.

  • Experience working on commercial and institutional facilities.


Preferred

  • Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques

  • Knowledge to assist sales with controls installation estimating.

  • Possesses working knowledge of local codes as it applies to controls.

  • Experienced in scope determination of installation materials.

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
