The mailroom clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing mail, internal and external to the organization. Some of the responsibilities and duties of this position include opening, reading, sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages, collecting and processing outgoing mail, data entry of information concerning receipt of courier shipments and Certification Statements.
Sort incoming correspondence, including insurance claim forms and returned mail, in a timely manner.
Inscribe date of receipt for incoming mail
Handle daily incoming and outgoing packaging of FedEx, UPS and local carrier shipments.
Prep outgoing mail to be delivered to GMS for First Class mail.
Pick up and deliver mail and shipments to corridor.
Collect and distribute mail to all departments within the organization.
Record and maintain records of trackable shipments.
Occasionally assist with other team member processing areas as directed by management
