Yahoo's Legal Department seeks a Legal Analyst to join its Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT). LERT is a team of passionate, dedicated professionals specializing in responding to the legal process (e.g., civil and criminal subpoenas, court orders and search warrants) that Yahoo receives for user data. The position demands an adaptable, passionate, self-driven, high-caliber Legal Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Processing and accurately responding to a large volume of legal requests in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable law, our Terms of Service and our Global Principles for Responding to Government Requests.
• Responding to inquiries from attorneys and law enforcement regarding legal requests.
• Handling highly sensitive information with complete discretion.
• Participating in an on-call emergency escalation rotation and traveling to testify in court as needed.
• Spotting issues and escalating as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate and/or 1-3 years of legal industry experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Outstanding communications skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated team player, who has had success participating in cross-functional teams.
• Maintains high ethical standards and professional integrity at all times.
• Consistently demonstrates excellent judgment.
• Positive energy, flexibility, enthusiasm, and ability to cope with stress are a must.
• Ability to thrive in a remote-work environment and has reliable Internet connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Internet and/or high technology areas of business strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Google Workspace strongly preferred.
• Law enforcement or legal industry experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Yahoo's products and services.
• Sense of humor is appreciated.

The compensation for this position ranges from $56,250.00 - $117,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
