Job Description:

The City of North Liberty has an immediate opening for a full-time Water Operator I in the City's Grade III Nano-Filtration Water Treatment Plant. 

This position requires:

• Specialized knowledge of water treatment and water distribution at a technical level.
• The ability to keep accurate detailed records and follow quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Semi-advanced mathematical calculations and advanced Excel skills are also required.
• A high school diploma and at least one year post high school education is required, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 
• Applicants must possess a valid Iowa Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement or have the ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of hire.
• Applicants must possess a State of Iowa Grade I Water Treatment and Grade I Water Distribution Certificate along with a State of Iowa Backflow Certificate or have the ability to obtain these certifications within eighteen (18) months of hire.
