Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Department: Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

Insulet Corporation is looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to join our growing team. This role will provide leadership as we drive the financial and analytical support for total company financials. This position will provide key financial insights that will drive the Company's strategic decisions, financial forecasts and operating plans. He/she will also work closely with other members of the finance team responsible for the financial planning and analysis, financial statement forecasts, operating budgets, and strategic/long-range plans and will conduct regular sensitivity analysis of total company financials. This role will drive forecasting processes, including the annual budget, analyze results and partner with other members of the finance team and executive team to ensure that current period financial objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will drive accurate reporting of actual performance with a focus on key operating metrics and analysis to enhance forecast accuracy, drive accountability and propose actions to continuously improve financial results. In addition, the Manager of FP&A will provide financial analysis that will drive executive decision making. The Manager may be involved in various confidential projects and will need to use impeccable discretion with sensitive information while working across the Commercial, Regional and Functional areas. This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate FP&A.

Responsibilities:


  • Drive financial reporting throughout the company by:

    • Managing total company due dates and deliverables in order to drive our critical financial reporting mechanisms including Monthly Financial Review, Standard Monthly Reporting, Latest Estimate reporting and Quarterly forecasts, etc.

    • Providing templates and guidance to the broader finance team to leverage in order to pull together the total company story.

    • Managing total company cash flow forecast by partnering with key stakeholders across the broader finance team.

    • Providing updates to Board of Director Presentations and other Executive Management Reviews.

    • Running Total Company Headcount and Balance sheet reporting.

    • Partnering with Tax and Treasury on below the line impacts (i.e., tax rate, interest expect, fx, etc.).

    • Supporting Investor Relations and Accounting with any external reporting needs.

    • Partnering with HR and Accounting on tracking and calculating Bonus and PSU performance metrics.

    • Managing Finance calendar including distributing calendar of key due dates to the broader finance team and ensure all needed meetings are on calendar with the right key participants.

    • Providing financial modeling for special projects and managing ad hoc requests as needed.



  • Process & Design Improvement: Design and implement processes and procedures to streamline data gathering and reporting in support of Corporate FP&A activities.

  • Assist in overall monthly financial reporting and close related activities.

  • Perform basic System administration duties including rolling over a new forecast scenario, opening & closing the system, loading foreign exchange rates, etc.

  • Special Projects: Work on specific unique projects which may call for reporting and analysis skills, including continuous improvement activities.

  • Teamwork and Training: The person in this role should work well with the various team members in the department and the broader Insulet community.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. MBA is a plus.

  • 6+ years of financial planning and analysis experience in a global growth-oriented, publicly-traded company, broad finance background that includes financial planning and analysis, accounting , finance, internal management reporting systems, budgeting, acquisitions and investment analysis and financial modeling. Previous manufacturing/distribution and healthcare experience a plus

  • Proven ability to learn new accounting & reporting tools.

  • Proven ability to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong communication, presence, and relationship building skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals.

  • Systems savvy - experience with Planful reporting tools is a plus.

  • Excellent MS Office skills are required.

  • Able to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses.

  • Able to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks.

  • Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment.

  • Has highest standards of integrity reflected in all external and internal communications.

  • Self-motivated, high energy, respectful, honest, hard-working and loyal team.

Physical Requirements:


  • General office environment, may sit for long periods of time.

  • Domestic travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,600.00 - $154,200.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
