Job Summary:


Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Manager of Command Center Operations to be responsible for overseeing and managing the activities within a command center, which is a centralized location where critical operations and activities are monitored, coordinated, and controlled. This is a remote role with preference to be located on PST within a commutable distance to our San Dimas, CA office.


In partnership with our EST manager, this role will help lead the function of Command Center in follow-the-sun model.




  1. Supervision and Leadership:

    • Lead a team of command center staff, providing guidance and direction.

    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the command center is critical




  2. Monitoring and Analysis:

    • Monitor real-time data, events, and activities relevant to the organization.

    • Analyze information to identify trends, potential issues, or opportunities.




  3. Incident Management:

    • Develop and implement incident response plans.

    • Coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.




  4. Technology and Systems Management:

    • Oversee the use and maintenance of technology and systems within the command center.

    • Ensure that equipment and software are up-to-date and functional.




  5. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare regular reports on command center activities and performance.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, responses, and operational procedures.




  6. Collaboration with Other Departments:

    • Collaborate with other departments to align command center activities with organizational goals.

    • Participate in cross-functional teams and projects.




 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 



  • Responsible for the operational performance, integrity and availability of the QTC Systems and Infrastructure with a focus on incident and problem oversight, Incident Communication and coordination of technical staff during incidents.

  • Communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs

  • Evaluate alternative business requirements and continue to improve the function.

  • Work with teams to expand our Communication tools (expand to multiple media options)

  • Coordinate with various functional business unit managers to support their systems to meet established Service Level Agreements

  • Day-to-day mentoring of team members

  • Anticipate future needs of the function, and identify proactive solutions to satisfy requirements

  • Partner corporate IT help desk activities and resolve escalated issues when necessary

  • Responsible for staff oversight to ensure new IT systems operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives

  • Develop and document company’s Information Technology systems policies and procedures

  • Enforce standard company IT policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)



  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience/combined education

  • Minimum of 9 years previous Information Systems management experience

  • Minimum of 9 years people management experience

  • Understanding/use of SDLC, Agile, six sigma to drive fit for purpose technologies a plus

  • Willingness to learn

  • Experience with enterprise-wide security, NIST and HIPAA compliance, and working closely with internal and external system auditors

  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation


 


Pay and Benefits:


Salary range $125,000 - $160,000
