STORE ROOM CLERK at Amsted Rail in Petersburg, Virginia

Job Description:

OPPORTUNITY

Amsted Rail has an immediate opening for a Store Room Clerk.  This position will be a team member of the logistics department with the following responsibilities:

• Unpack and receive in SAP incoming orders, checking against items listed on the purchase orders, invoices or other order forms.


• Assemble, adjust in SAP inventory and / or repairs articles carried in stock.


• Fills orders and issues supplies in SAP upon proper authorization.


• Counts, weighs and / or marks articles with identifying codes, figures or letters as required.


• Inventories stock on hand and requests supplies as needed.


• Maintains records and prepares reports.


• Communicates with vendors on the phone, in person and in writing on matters related to supplies.


• Packages materials for shipping.


• Performs routine custodial or maintenance duties.

This position requires computer proficiency and the ability to work alone and in a team environment.
