Job Summary:

Daiichi Sankyo is seeking a year-round IT Intern to work for approximately 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, organize and communicate well and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Ability to work independently is necessary for success, along with working collaboratively with all levels of the IT team.


Responsibilities:

This internship will support multiple projects to assist the IT Data Management and Analytic Technology team by:

• Capturing stakeholder requirements to facilitate the agile project management lifecycle
  
  


• Developing and deploying testing methods to validate data quality and project deliverables
  
  


• Designing data visualizations for dashboards and reporting
  
  


• Exploring emerging technologies to enhance and automate day-to-day processes
  
  


• Utilizing data science tools and techniques to uncover business insights
  
  


• Designing and developing Gen AI Applications
  
  


• In this role you will be preparing routine and ad hoc data extractions from the data warehouse, providing scheduled and ad hoc reports, dashboards and analysis summaries. There will also be opportunities to present routine information/data to internal and external clients. You will be working with PowerBI, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Azure Open AI and Microsoft Azure SQL database, prior experience in these applications is preferred.

Education/Experience:

Qualified candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited graduate program with coursework or have a strong background in the fields of Computer Science or Information Systems (or related fields).

Prior experience in a corporate business environment is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills are essential. Key skills required for the assignment are the ability to generate ideas, analyze an issue, problem-solve and demonstrate learning agility.
